This is a one off card which i made in 2010 and have decided that i can’t give it to anybody, so have added a few hearts and have asked OH to send me this for my valentines card this year. Odd i know but that way i get to keep it…
Also added a blank Paper Artsy flower in the middle of the card so words can be written hopefully; the flower was cut from 250gsm card, using their die cut to match their stamp from Hot Pick Plate HP1004 .

Wanted to experiment with a different type of font for this card so chose the Frankenstein font from my Pazzle Inspiration selection.
The background paper is from a My Craft Studio CD.
The clear but patterned tape is from Prima.
The card stock is from The Paper Mill and is approximately 280gsm.
The moths are from a Paper Artsy Hot Picks Plate HP1006. Used Diamond Black Stickles glue to add interest to the middle of the moths.
Put a saying on the inside front cover from Paper Artsy HP Plate 1006, it is one of my favourite sayings of theirs.
Cut a smaller square than the and stamped with yet more Paper Artsy stamps this time from HP 1005. Left some space for writing a greeting.
Took a macro shot of the stamped image to show how much detail there is in this particular stamp, so beautiful…

Isn’t it annoying when you forget a birthday… Hopefully the card will arrive only five days late along with apologies.
Chose to photograph the card from different angles as experimenting with new camera. You get to see the inside of the card from two different angles which i’ve never done before.
I really don’t enjoy just putting together a card but this is an emergency. If i don’t this one will arrive late too, so found a HunkyDory kit from 2010 and set about sticking it together. Not my colours but very girly and i’m sure will be welcomed as L enjoys pink.
Pink is a very on trend colour for 2011.
Finally for today i saw Diane from Inkylicious doing a technique on Create and Craft that usually takes a brayer and a long time to complete. She has given me hope that at last i can attempt the same but in a couple of minutes. Here is my attempt…
at a sunset with mountains and a sun. The sun is too red, apart from that i am quite happy with this first attempt. Diane used the Big and Juicy ink pads, i used Distress inks as i don’t own any of the Big and Juicy pads at the moment.
I purchased some shaving brushes from Paddy's Stamping Place sale last Saturday. I am so glad i got them!!! Have struggled with all other ways to apply Distress inks but using a brush is definitely the way for me. The ink goes on easily and then blends so well, i would urge you to try using a brush and see for yourself how easy they are to use.
This is for a friend who loves to use her Cricut Create electronic die cutting machine. Got the cutting file from the Pazzles Craft Room and used 225gsm off white card to cut out the images.
Used Colourbox chalk inks to colour the side panels.
Peel offs for the flowers and filled in using Sakura Gel Pens.
Gems were used to imitate the buttons.
A rub on was placed to complete the card.

2011 is the year i’m going to try and take the minimalist approach to everything including card making. This is the first card of 2011.
Used Pazzle Inspiration to cut out the frame and the letters. These were coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Inks Chipped Sapphire and Spiced Marmalade.
The decorative tape is from Prima and is called Clearly IOD.
Background paper from My Craft Studio Metallics, printed out in black and white on matt photographic paper and then coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Tumbled Blass.
Pearls from Crystal Stickers, light blue.
Card stock from The Paper Mill 250gsm.
