May I wish all my followers a Happy 2014, hope it is full of inspiration and adventure allowing your creative juices to flow and flow. A special mention to my two new followers, Claire and Natty.
Thank you all for following my Blog which is 4 years 2 months old, i started in November 2009, the time has flown and i suppose i am a bad blogger because i do not regularly post.
I have a few ailments which prevent me from being as prolific as other bloggers, i am happy that you have stayed with me and have left some very lovely comments, each one has been read and appreciated.
I am hopeful that 2014 will be a better blogging year but you never know what life brings.
My first post of 2014 is about two calendars i have made using Craft Artist Professional. I am aware that many people do not regard digital crafting as ‘proper’ crafting but to me it is a lifesaver. There are days when i cannot manage conventional stamping and have to resort to the ‘alternative’ in my life so i can continue to be creative.
I have made two different calendars, one is for me and has some fun quotes, the other is for my OH who requested typography. There are many pictures to see, so grab a cuppa and i hope you make it to the end.

Sorry about the quality of the photographs, the paper they were adhered to on this £1 Polaroid Calendar are very shiny as is the cover!
I have made calendars before and used a very good quality photo paper but found that the paper was too heavy for the calendar pages and so warped or fell off. This time i used good old copy paper, the pages have adhered really well and not too heavy. In all i think the two calendars will have cost around £3 to make, they are bespoke and we both have them hung up and ready to use.
Thanks for making it to the end of this very long post, looking forward to your comments.
I really enjoyed looking at your calendars. The first one is so upbeat and with beautiful sentiments and illustrations and equally the second one is quirky and fun. How special to have personalised ones. Fabulous.
ReplyDeletewhat a great idea, and love the personal touch!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to keep crafting when you can't do physical craft. For me I'm on a computer a minimum of 8 hours a day Mon - Fri which is why I rarely digital craft, but I know many who do with great results like your own here. Don't think it's cheating, it's another medium is all. Crafty Hugs - Jax
ReplyDeleteGreat set of calendars, I don't do much digital, so am in awe of those who can.
ReplyDeleteThey both look fab! I wouldn't know where to begin with digital, I've only recently got a printer! Lol!

Art is art however it is created and the art you have created in your calendars is fab. I thoroughly enjoyed looking at all the different months. I particularly liked April and June in fluffy and February and July in OH. I also enjoyed reading your blog post. Great project lovely xxx
ReplyDeleteFab idea, love the simplicity of the second one and great images too

The calendars look wonderful, you used great images.
ReplyDeleteThe calanders look great. I don't think digital is cheating, just another craft form.

I agree that digital art is just as much art as any other form and if it means you can craft when stamping is not possible that is great. I have so enjoyed following your blog. I hope your new year will be a creative and a happy one. I love your calenders: interesting images and quotes. Thank you so much for sharing. Julie Ann xx
ReplyDeleteWell done hun. I love these calendars. So original!
ReplyDeleteYour calendars are great and both so different. I have to say yours would be my choice too because I love the different quotes but OH's is pretty neat with the unusual images. I'm another one in awe of anyone good with digital stuff. As the others have said it's just another medium for creativity! I may not manage to visit every post on your (or anyone elses) blog but I do enjoy my visits when I can make time so looking forward to seeing what you create in 2014.
ReplyDeleteHugs & Happy New Year.
