Q&L Challenge 7

The Craft Barn’s Quotes and Lyrics Challenge is a fabulous one and i hope you come along and play, here is the link.
This challenge asked us to find the words Change or Truth.  Really enjoy the research and have found some ‘different’ styles of music and found some wonderful words along the way.

Found this quote by Unknown which i thought is very ‘now’ in terms of our society and how we are all living in a fast paced world. Hope you like it too.

It’s funny how

1 Text

1 Song

1 Mistake

1 Lie

1 Truth

and

1 Person

could change your mind in

1 Second.

Used an ICard mop up from Dylusions Sprays, added a doodles border using  Posca Pens then added the Unknown quote.
Stamped the man and sentiment from Tim Holtz Visual Artistry set from 2011 in Cornflower Archival ink.
Over on the Paper Artsy blog Katrina used a baby wipe to make her lovely embellishment. I have been using these for ages on journal pages and cutting them up and using as backgrounds. Decided to use one i had mopped up Portfolio Pastels on an earlier project.

Hand cut it into an number 1 shape then used a heat gun to shrink it down, love the slightly burnt edge at the base of the number, adhered to the ICard and then drew a border around it again using Posca Pens.
On the reverse of the card used a Hero Arts background stamp from 2005 and Watering Can Archival ink to add interest and then again stamped the Man and the diamond border. Hand wrote the details of the challenge.

I am also going to enter this into this weeks Paper Artsy Challenge.
Thanks you for dropping by, looking forward to your comments.

  4. Those lyrics are great and so true! I love this spread. I have used Baby Wipes in this way, but never shrunk them! I must do this because I love heating things, anything - I'm a total pyromaniac! Burnt edges are just the best! Love the colours on this too! Julie Ann xx
