It has been fabulous to see lots of bees in my yard today, they have been mostly feeding from the Lobelia flowers. Hope you can see how beautiful they are especially the ones where you can see the wing movement; you might need to look at the images larger to see the movement.
Tasmanian Iris are a rare breed mini Iris, i got my plant from Arley Hall rare plant sale many years ago. I am sure you will agree they are a very pretty flower. The heads measure just over an inch long, at the moment they are in full bloom and will last another week or so.
It is a wonderful time in my yard at the moment. Hope you are all enjoying your gardens or yards too.

Such pretty flowers hun, that delicate little iris is so beautiful. Now, bees - issues with them because they buzz, the only one I can cope with (just) is Mr Bumble! Hugs xx
ReplyDeleteLove your Post! It's lovely to see your bees and flowers. Glad you are enjoying your space. You know I love mine it might only be 20ftx30ft but it our little oasis hehe xxx
ReplyDeleteOh, I so love my little garden too and when I see the bees loving my hardy annuals I am so happy! Thank you for a beautiful post! Julie Ann xxx
ReplyDeleteGreat to see your bees & that iris is beautiful. There are lots of bees in my garden & this year masses of ladybirds, which I'm assuming is the reason there are hardly any greenfly.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Love the pics and all that gorgeous sunshine! Busy bee!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and great to see the bees in action. Have you seen that Friends of the Earth are doing a bee count at the moment? You could help them out...

DeleteLove your Bee pics MoH, the ones with the wings moving are so cool. Excellent captures. Me and the Wee Man were so excited last year when we got to see a big bee's tongue at work. They're so long! Lol
ReplyDeleteYou mini iris is gorgeous!! Would you mind if I try to draw it? The details are so easy to see in the picture you took. :o)
Thank You Mo, i do love my Iris and was really pleased the picture showed the movement of the bees wings.
