APC's Week 15

Over at Claudine Criners Blog we are up to week 15 with our Altered Playing Cards challenge. This week we are using Embossing Pastes, i have used Imagination Crafts Sparkle Gel and have added two of their Inkadink colours mango and blueberry to two different blobs of the Gel.

The first APC has a background of Pan Pastels, then a layer of the Sparkle Gel mixed with the blueberry Inkadink, when dry sprayed over the top with DecoArt Purple, Magenta and Turquoise. When that was dry went over the raised Damask stencil from TH with Treasure Gold in White Fire.

Added a Santoro Angel who has been coloured with Spectrum Noir Pencils over the top of a die cut flower.

The words are from my new Stampotique word stamp by Amy Wilson Willenstein.

The lovely Angel has just graduated with flying wings and has received her new name, she is called 'Soul Wings', she starts work in the new year when she has had her induction into the Angel Academy.

The second APC had the doily stencil by Rebekah Meier and the mango coloured Sparkle Gel, when it dried it was impossible to see so i went over it with Treasure Gold then went round the flower with a white Stabilo pen.

Stamped the Teasel stamp from Woodware onto tissue paper and adhered onto the front, then added a piece of the TH frameworks die Honeycomb and a piece from the centres i had cut from card.

The words are from the same Stampotique plate by Amy Willenstein.

Hope you have enjoyed your visit today, thanks for dropping by.

  1. Fabulous. Particularly like the mango and blueberry combo. Lots of yummy texture on second one. Great stuff as always! X

  2. I can't believe how much I've missed, but first, I must catch up on this post. I was most impressed with your angel, but you lost me with words like Sparkle Gel mixed with Inkadink or damask in white fire. However, I was in love with the outcomes, nevertheless. Simply gorgeous, whatever products you used.

  3. Hi Mo! Thank you for the wonderful Christmas wishes you left me while I was away. I had such a great holiday, I hope you did too! These are just fabulous! I love the print on your angel and the flower one is brilliant, gotta get me some treasure gold! See you soon, big new year hugs :)

  4. Two more great cards... I love the texty angel, and the Stampotique words are already tempting me! Hope you have a wonderful 2015.
    Alison xx

  5. Both of these cards have so much gorgeous texture!
At 2 cards a week this challenge is moving very fast-maybe a little too fast for me at times! Thanks for all your visits and kind comments and encouragement. Best wishes for a great 2015!

  6. Gorgeous APCS Mo,
    Wishing you a wonderful 2015

    Big hugs
    Donna xxx

  8. That second APC has caught my eye... just perfect.
Wishing you a happy New Year, xx

  9. This card is fab I love the side with angel most. Her new name suits very well. The colour of her hair and the purple background really compliment each other well. Love it xx

  10. Sorry, I'm so late in commenting! I've been catching up after being ill and then Christmas! I really love the idea of Altered Playing Cards and I like the opportunity for experimenting with different materials and techniques on them. the angel is so beautiful. I love your colour combos, texture and sentiment. xxx

  11. Oh, love the yummy texture on these. I don't know how these APC challenges didn't grab my attention before. Off to go peek at your other lovelies. ;)

  12. always admire mix-media cards. They are so very interesting. Unfortunately do not really know how to do them, and probably will remain to the end I can only admire the work of others. Wonderful impressions.
