ATC swap December 2013

Time for the monthly swap hosted by Sarah Dunkley, this months theme is Christmas.

I like to use three different colours of card these days, white, Kraft and Black, decided to replicate this in my ATC’s and so here they are.

Santa’s Little Helpers

P1050437

White card stock, Stampotique ‘Three in a Round’ stamp, Darcy Wilkinson EDY04 bauble stamp and Paper Artsy sentiment stamp.

Stamped the Stampotique image onto tissue paper, added to the ATC using watered down PVA glue then coloured the images using ProMarkers, then added the 2 hats and bow tie. I had coloured some white card stock with three different coloured ProMarkers and blended them together then cut out tiny triangles and a bow shape. The gold dots are from a Posca Pen. The smudges are on purpose lol.

It was my OH’s idea to add the hats and the bow tie to the ATC, thank you my Lovely Smile

Let it Snow

P1050440

Snowflakes and Let it Snow sentiment both from Darcy Wilkinson EDY04 plate and Stampotique character Heart Throb.

Stamped Heart throb onto tissue paper then added him to the black card stock using watered down PVA glue, coloured him in using Portfolio Pastels, which i am really enjoying working with as they are very easy to blend.

Stamped the snowflakes onto the ATC using a Versamark Pad then brushed over Perfect Pearls powder to add a little shimmer.

Go Jingle Your Own Blimmin Bells

P1050441

Stampotique character ‘Daniels Tree Topper’. Kraft Card, Baubles from Darcy Wilkinson EDY04 plate and sentiment from Dyan Reaveley, Portfolio Pastels and ProMarkers to colour.

Stamped Daniels Tree Topper directly onto the ATC followed by the Baubles from Darcy Wilkinson EDY04 plate, coloured them both in and then added the sentiments from the Christmas Words plate.

Here they are together.

Wanted to play with more Mail Art and decorated both my SAE and the one i sent to Sarah.

Sarah’s Envelope

P1050452

P1050453

Used Jo firth Young stamps from plate JOFY01 for both envelopes, Metallic Pan Pastels Bronze and Light Gold to cover the envelopes before they were stamped and Portfolio Pastels to colour everything in as i wanted the envelopes to have a glow to them, not too sure if i have achieved this perhaps i should have added white…

MY SAE

P1050450

P1050451

The HO HO HO sentiment is there to hide my snail mail address lol.

Thanks for dropping by Smile

  5. Your ATCs are brilliant! My OH is fairly encouraging but would never come up with the great suggestion yours did, lol! Love your colouring with the Portfolios. I've never tried those. Your mail art is going to be such a treat for posties instead of boring normal envelopes, lol!
