This weeks challenge over at the FANTASTIC Less Is More site is all about one layer cards and the “Off The Edge”technique…I had so many ideas that i have made three different cards. Not going to upload them all at once though as two of them need some finishing touches.
Here is this weeks card. I have been very lazy here as this card is made from glitter rub ons and nothing else. I thought it was the perfect quick card to cheer someone up and most people love chocolate, so simple… Maybe i’ve left too much white space what do you think?
I am open to any comments good or bad, enjoy constructive feedback and won’t be offended by any comments. I am here to learn and hopefully your comments will help me to do that. If i left ANY comments last week that offended anybody please forgive my lack of tact.
Thanks for dropping by:-)
Just to clarify there can never be too much whit space LOL
ReplyDeleteThink you've got the concept fine, but the image is probably a little small to have it off the bottom and side. Personally I think it could have gone up slightly so that the sentiment finished at the cake stand stem. But that's being picky and an instant reaction. Nothing wrong with your colouring.
As in life, it;s not what you say it;s the way that you say it, chrissie and i try to construct our advice to not cause offence. Hope fully people will take a moment to read back their comments and see how it could be taken
Thanks for entering again, great to see you. Would love to see the other 2 cards

A card that makes you smile is always a winner and yours made me smile....what great rub-ons (need them and chocolate!!).
ReplyDeleteDiane x
I like this one, I don't tend to use rub ons, but these look great!
ReplyDeleteI'm so pleased that you are feeling glad to be part of LIM.
We will look forward to your other cards which are in the pipeline!

Well, I personally think it's a cool rubon...and it's all about chocolate..my favorite food group...it is a food group, right? LOL!
ReplyDeleteI think I might have put the cake a little higher up on the card and move the sentiment over until it lined up with the bottom of the cake stand...but that's just me. Of course, I'd have probably tried it several different ways and totally messed up numerous pieces of cardstock, like I usually do! LOL!
looks good to me!
ReplyDeleteLove anything to do with chocolate, including this card
ReplyDeleteYou could have stamped your sentiment anywhere - I'm only looking at that chocolate cake, which is so realistic my mouth is watering!
ReplyDeleteJust thought I'd better add that I am only joking!
ReplyDeleteLovely card! AND Chocolate makes me happy too!!
ReplyDeleteI think anyone will love to receive this card. I definitely love chocolate!! x
ReplyDeleteI love this chocolate cake image...I can't believe it's a rub on! I love the name of your blog by the way...there is always so much to learn in crafting eh? :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for you lovely comments on my cards...it's nice to share and see what people think. I love the idea of adding a 'tips 'n techniques' page to my blog, but I have no idea how to do it! If you happen to know...
Can't wait til Saturday for the next challenge!
