Over at the wonderful ‘Less Is More’ Challenge site this week the subject is to make a masculine card. Like most people i struggled with this topic but here is the card . I am wondering if there is too much space at the top of the card, what do you think…
Materials Used:
A6 card Blank
Sizzix Die – Camera
Toilet Roll inner
Acrylic metallic paints and brush
Cigarette Cards
Fiskers fancy edged ruler
Cord embellishment off a candle (£ store)
Creative Imaginations Photo Stamp set
Adirondack Slate Grey ink pad
Not feeling too well at the moment, i have a head cold and cough so please forgive me if i don’t get around to many of you this week. I am finding it very hard and really time consuming to comment on the entries so i am going to comment on as many as i can get to in an hour each day. I hope that this is acceptable and you will be understanding. I can see this site becoming VERY VERY popular as the entries grow each week and i am trying to set my boundaries. Thanks to both Chrissie and Mandi for all of their comments so far, you have both been amazing!
Would also like to say that if i do put up more than one card please do not feel obligated to comment on each one, i would be very happy if you had the time to look at all three and leave just one comment. I have had some really great feedback from those who have left comments and i ask that you continue to give feedback whenever you can as i am learning from you all:-)
Thanks to those who have followed me since i joined this site, i am overwhelmed by your kindness.
Thanks for dropping by and have a great week:-)

Love the torn edges of the card. Definitely a great card for a guy! I understand what you mean about the commenting. I try to visit every blog and leave a comment, but I work full time and with so many wonderful entries each week, it's getting more difficult to get to everybody.
ReplyDeleteI love how you added a little photo inside the camera - great idea. :o)
ReplyDeleteVery inventive to use a toilet roll inner for your camera! It's a great treatment and I expect you had great fun making it!
ReplyDeleteIt's a super card, not too much space at the top at all!
It would be nice to be able to call you by a name!!!!!?
Get better soon!

This is fab, very inventive and I don't think that you have too much white space at the top either. Thanks for your comments on my own blog

Love, love, love the camera. Fab. x
ReplyDeleteGreat card :-)
ReplyDeleteMaybe a way round the white space at the top would have been to do a landscape card instead?
You will still have the same amount of white space, but it will be "distributed" differently.
Having said that, I like the card as it is, keep up the good work :-)
Wow!! this is a fantastic card that you created here!!! i'm amazed!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant idea love it.
ReplyDeleteJust so inventive and beautifully executed. I think the White space is just right. Love the sentiment too. Thanks for your comments. Wishing you well. Hugs Cherry XxX
ReplyDeleteWhat an inventive idea to use a toilet roll, I to always worry about leaving to much white space. Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog.
ReplyDeleteHugs Sonia xx
a great idea recycling the toilet roll inner, it look fab. your card is well proportioned and a perfect male card. Elaine
ReplyDeleteNot too much white space at all, IMHO. I rather like it. In fact I think your camera could sit down more, closer to the sentiment. LOVE the sepia/aged tones you achieved with the camera. I'm a fan of recycling tp tubes - I'm always pulling them out of the household recycling! Way to go green!
ReplyDeleteLove your card, the sentiment is perfect
ReplyDeleteSo wish you better, keep warm

ReplyDeleteReally resourceful! The white space is perfect and I love the torn edge feature.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to use a camera as a frame around the photo :)
ReplyDeleteI think the white space is fine above the camera. x
This is a fab card! I love the loo roll inner...it gives great texture to the card, and great for recycling too!

Great masculine card and no, I don't think there's too much white space at the top - if anything I'd have been tempted to nudge the camera down even further (but I can be an extremist on white space!). Love th elittle image in the camera aperture!
ReplyDeleteGreat masculine card...love the photo in the camera! White space can be a good thing...feel better fast!
ReplyDeleteWonderful card
