Over at the Amazing LESS IS MORE CHALLENGE Blog this week we have been asked to follow a sketch.
Never followed a sketch before so here goes, by the way i have done three cards for my entry this week but am putting them all in one post to save time on the the commenting. If this is incorrect please tell me and i will change it asap.
Card One
All three of my cards this week are small tall cards; chose to use the Sewing Stamps i got last week from Creative Expressions for my first card. The background is one i created using Distress Inks and Cosmic Shimmer Sprays. The black tape is from Prima Clearly IOD range and the copper mirror card imho compliments the background colour. Used Versafine ink pad to stamp the image which on the image doesn’t do it justice, looks much better in real life.
Card Two
Used chipboard frame from an old Brenda Pinnick kit, the background is another one i created using distress Inks and the tag was a present from a friend; the ribbon was from a local charity shop. Distressed the frame, the circle and the ticket as sometimes that’s just how i feel when not well…
Card Three
Use some Around-To-It stamps direct to paper to form the border and masked the larger egg to stamp them in a line. Don’t do masking very often and practiced before i did it on the card this time lol… The bunny is from the same stamp set as is the stamp that goes around the edge of the circle. This card has not photographed well and am sorry you can’t see things very clearly. Used Sakura Glitter pens and watered them down to get this pastel shimmer look on the border. The bunny was coloured using ProMarkers. Used Versafine Sepia ink as i was reminded of chocolate whilst stamping the eggs.
My cards are not too good this week but am putting them in the challenge anyway as hoping your comments will guide me to make them better. Am going to apologise again this week as i still have the lurgy and am still feeling very tired amid the coughing and sneezing. Will try to get around to as many of your entries as possible but as there are so many i am finding it difficult.
Thanks for dropping by and stay well:-)
Three great cards - you are on a roll this week aren't you? Feel better soon

You have definitely got the bug, doing three cards... of all of them I prefer the first, which is closest to the original sketch. The treatment of the circle element looks terrific!
ReplyDeleteThanks for some great submissions.

I appreciate you putting them all in one post. Definitely makes it easier for all the commenting! I think all three cards are awesome...but my favorite is the first one. I love the shimmer of the copper.
ReplyDeleteJust to add my thoughts, if I may....on the last card. I don't know if the eggs were one solid stamp...but the larger eggs in the sequence distracts from the main image, to me. If they were all small eggs, I think it would draw the eye to the bunny.
All 3 are fabulous. I love the sewing one.
