Speed Craft Challenge #7 Anything Goes

I hope you will join in with out latest Speed Craft Challenge which is being sponsored by The Old Design Shop.

The theme on this challenge is:

ANYTHING GOES.

With Christmas coming up my mind is on making cards but wanted to make something a little different so went with a small Christmas wreath.

Last year i made a large wreath using the holly and berries from Darcy Wilkinson plate EDY03, i have a few of the leaves, berries and stars over as you can see.

P1070646

I added to the shapes a chipboard circle, Ink Pads, glue, snowflake, numbers, corrugated card circle and a DecoArt Mister and these are the items i used to create my wreath.

P1070649

Started the stopwatch and started by spraying the chipboard with the Magenta DecoArt mister.

Glued on all the stars and then stopped taking pictures so i could finish within the 15 minutes. Glued on the holly leaves leaving room for the berries.

Coloured the corrugated circle with Vintage Photo DI, the snowflake with Peacock Feathers DI and recoloured the numbers using a red Posca Pen as the red ink pad didn’t cover them too well.

P1070654

Layered up the corrugated circle, snowflake, the numbers then glued on the berries.

Used my Cropodile to add a hole at the top and inserted a eyelet in copper colour to match the colours of the wreath, added some tartan ribbon. Pleased with how this turned out but there was something missing, sparkle!

P1070655

Sprayed some Crafters Companion Gold Glitter spray over the whole thing, much better.

P1070656

Close up of the sparkle.

P1070657

Managed to complete the small wreath in under the 15 minutes.

Hope you have been inspired to join in with our Challenge. Looking forward to seeing what you can do in 15 minutes.

Come and join in the FUN over at the Speed Craft Challenge Blog and see what my team mates have been busy creating, see you there!

Thanks for dropping by.

  24. I absolutely love your wreath, it is simply stunning and I am amazed you made it so quickly. It does help having bits and bobs leftover and I think it can be more fun playing with leftovers sometimes. I am envious of your ability to do a project so quickly as I always find myself dithering and being indecisive. Brilliant project!
