Less Is More Challenge Card 3

Final entry for this weeks “off the edge” challenge.  Just got the Sam Poole stamp plate “Vintage Sewing “ from Creative Expressions and this is my first time using the stamps.  Really love how they all work together, eventually i want to do some metal work with the dress form and use it in one of my configurations houses… Anyway less chat and more images lol:-)

Materials Used

Creative Expressions Vintage Sewing stamp plate

Versafine Ink Pad

Sakura Stardust Pens

Textured cardstock

This started off as an A6 card but after i looked at how everything worked together i decided to chop it down to a square card.  The line of stitches went all the way to the top of the card but just looked ‘wrong’, decided to crop it down and this now looks much better imho… All of the stamps leave great impressions especially using Versafine Black Ink Pad and stamping onto hammered cardstock.  The sentiment is lovely and made me think of how many parents stitch things for their children .  Do you think there are too many images on this card, let me know what you think.

Thanks for dropping by, have a lovely week:-)

  7. oooh I just got these stamps too - not used them yet. Love what you have created with them. I think because they are all related images they look fine and I love the scissors up the edge of the card-fab.

  17. Must find this stamp and the sentiment is so apt. Love the way everything is 'off the edge'. I can see why you would want to use the dress model in metal , it is very evocative of an era.
