Another Friday is upon us and this week i can show a face i created yesterday. I am linking to the lovely Kim Dellow’s blog where she is hosting a Face Share every Friday, the link goes live at 10.00 am. Hope you can find the time to come and play along.
Be gentle with me this week as this is the first time i have painted a face on an A4 sized page.
Added some Gesso onto a piece of A4 white card stock, sticking down little pieces of embossed card, book paper and a Frameworks die cut, chevron to add texture. In the thicker areas i ran a Catalyst Wedge through for adding texture to the surface.
I didn’t sit down and finish my page in one go, i did a little bit here and there over the day. Used Portfolio Pastels for the whole of the page. These Pastels are so wonderful to blend, i enjoy using them a lot.
I hope you can see the beginnings of a face shape on the page.
This was after i added some more colours and managed to get an area to add the facial details. So glad i took a picture at this stage!
Macro of the hair area, look at that texture!
Macro of the frameworks die.
Macro of her face.
Added DecoArt Metallic Lustres in Orange Flicker, Copper Kettle and Blue, i hope you can see them in the picture.
Completed face with faux glitter pearls for her eyelashes.
If you look closely you will see that the varnish i used on her lips and hair is gloss, everywhere else it is matt.
Struggled with adding eyes, nose and lips but i am fairly happy with the result. When OH saw the blank face he said that’s you! I wonder what he will think when he sees the finished page. Don’t think he will recognise me!
See you next week on Friday with another face.
Thanks for dropping by, looking forward to your lovely comments.
