Hi Everyone! A very quick post today as i want to enter three challenges with the same project and the deadline for one is very close.
Stampotique SDC 194 Stencils
Glitzcraft – Bespoke
Andy Skinner – Industrial
Stamps and Stencils – 3 of a kind
Three 3 x 4 inch tags
Three in a Round from Stampotique
Paper Artsy – Words
I made the background for the tags from some left over DecoArt Crackle Paste i used on another project here and three of the new Distress Ink colours, Abandoned Coral, Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio.
Cut the paper up into 3 3 x 4 inch pieces and adhered to black card that had used to mop up some IZink silver.
All the glue and sealer used in this project are from DecoArt.
Macro shots of the cards.
Used my Glitzcraft stencil to add circles to the backs of my cards. I LOVE DecoArt Metallic Lustres, they can be used straight out of the container or they can be watered down. The finishes you see above are:
left – neat Copper Kettle through the stencil using my finger.
middle and right – removing the lustre from the stencil using a baby wipe you get a much more subtle effect and a shimmer which i really like.
The script stamp is an old one, used Brilliance Ink Pad Moonlight White to stamp over the stencilling.
Stamped out three of Three in a Round and three of the Tim Holtz Crazy Birds.
The Crazy Birds have been coloured with the new Distress inks Abandoned Coral and Mermaid Lagoon. Three in a Round have been coloured with the new Distress colour Cracked Pistachio.
Used copy paper for Three in a Round and Print Paper for the birds.
Had a little fun by using the circle stencil over the birds and applying Mermaid Lagoon over the top. The blended colour is a beautiful grape shade, now they are dotty crazy birds lol.
Highlighted the circles with a white Signo pen and added DecoArt Liquid Glass to the bird’s eyes. Took the pictures before the Liquid Glass had time to dry so they do look a little funny at the moment!
Here are all three together.
Had a bit of fun adding the words from three in a round who are eyeing up dinner, they read from let to right:
left – who’s a pretty boy then
middle – mmm lunch
right – is the oven on yet?
I do hope i haven’t offended anyone, just my humour…
Thank you for dropping by, looking forward to your lovely comments.
