Stampotique have merged their Designers Blog along with the Challenge Blog this time it is the lovely Claudine Criner who is the host, this is what she has to say:
Claudine Criner Most of us always create a New Year's Resolution and the beginning of the New Year. For 2015 try your hand at making something with your New Year's Resolution in mind.
I have never made NYR as i feel that i am setting myself up to fail so i have taken inspiration from the Scrapbooking and Journalling world where a Word of the Year is chosen,
BREATHE
is my word of 2015.
This word can be interpreted in so many ways which for me means that it will be a positive way forward, no failing.
Recycled a page from my 2014 documented Life Project book that Dyan Reaveley showed me how to make my page more durable. She glued two pages together and added some paint onto the page using a baby wipe, sorry not too sure what she used!
I have added the stencilling over the top using one of Dyan’s stencils and Snowflake Fresco Paint.
DecoArt Crackle Paste is fantastic and it dries quite quickly, used an Artist Cellar stencil from Willowing for the stars and hearts.
When they were dry went over them a few different Distress inks but they didn't look as i wanted them to so went over the top with Pan Pastels Rich Gold and Copper.
The Stabilo All black pencil gives a little depth and shadow round the edges.
The Paper Artsy stamp Breathe The Love is one of my favourite stamp sets, it is from set Love and Kisses 1. This was one of the first PA stamp set i ever bought. Moon Girl and Hare are both by Daniel Torrente by Stampotique.
Both Moon girl and Breathe The Love are stamped onto tissue paper with a white font and adhered onto the tag with pva glue. Hare is just stamped onto the Tag.
Brayered over the top using Snowflake Fresco as i wanted Moon girl to look a little ethereal.
Added a Signo white pen border around the sentiment and on some of the stars, then finished the Tag off with a black bow.
My NYR or Word is to Breathe…
Hope you enjoyed your visit today, thanks for dropping by and i look forward to your lovely comments.

Loving this Mo!! Great colours and I love your big loopy bow at the top! Thanks so much for the link to that spray product! I am definitely going to be keeping my eye open for it at my local store!! Low odour is exactly what I need! Thanks again, until next time, big hugs :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great tag, Mo, and what a great way to have a physical reminder of your word for 2015! I love your stars, and the highlighting you did to provide shading and depth for them. You were definitely successful in making your image a heavenly body! A big fan of your work here!
ReplyDeleteI've never been one to make a NYR either. I prefer to think instead that everyday can be a clean slate. I like your Breathe tag. The colors are very soothing & the texture is great.
ReplyDeleteThank you for letting me know your package arrived. I am so happy that you were pleased!
Beauitfully done, I love it! The bright stars and hearts are certainly standing out here. Love your word for the year too, I need to learn that lesson myself.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely. The depth you have achieved is wonderful; the stars look 3-dimensional. SO cool. And the bow is the perfect finishing touch. :o)
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous setting for moon girl, it is a beautiful stamp, lovely colours you've used. Ruth x
ReplyDeleteI've often seen Moon Girl on projects since I started to blog and I really love her, although I don't own the stamp myself. She looks just magical here. I love the colours you have chosen and the theme of Breathe. I really like the way you have used the Signo pen and the Stabilo pencil to create depth. A lovely project. xx
ReplyDeleteHow could I have missed so much in such a short time?
ReplyDeleteYou are on a roll, and this tag is no exception. I agree that resolutions set you up to fail, but your chosen word for 2015 will help guide you through the year. I'm convinced of it, especially since you have started out in such a positive way.
MoH this is wonderful, I love the hanging hearts and stars, and what a great idea to brayer over the top of Moon Girl it is so effective isn't it (if a little scarey at the time - one of these days I will totally obliterate everything underneath lol) Great sentiment too, the perfect tag - wouldn't be able to give it away though :-) xx
ReplyDeleteoooooh a beautiful tag, I just love the hanging hearts and stars, and your idea to brayer over the top of the moon girl to knock her into the background is fabulous. adorable. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is gorgeous, I love the stars against that fab background. And I have to get Moon Girl soon, she's long been a favourite.
ReplyDeleteBreathtakingly beautiful, just love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing with us at Stampotique :)
