Speed Craft Challenge #11

Hi Everyone and welcome, today it is the lovely Deborah Wainwright’s turn to choose our Challenge over at the Speed Craft Challenge Blog.

Debs has chosen

Glitter and Sparkle

as her theme. I do hope you can find the time to pop over and join in.

My stash includes a stencil from the lovely people at Glitzcraft who are sponsoring our Challenges for 2015. This one was designed by myself and made for me by Glitzcraft, did you know they have this service available, if you have a need for something of your own design do get in touch with them.

The base is made from the leftovers from my fragile paper challenge which i have adhered over a piece of white cardstock that has had Red, Orange and Magenta Pan Pastels blended and then covered with a layer of Imagination Crafts Sparkle Gel.

I had to heat the Sparkle Gel to get it to dry in the time available, fortunately i only used a very thin layer, took about 5 minutes to dry.

I had to work very fast to get this completed so i kept the stencilling to a minimum by using a white Signo and a black Uni Pin pen to draw around the shapes, then heat set.

If you zoom into the picture you can see more clearly the areas i stencilled. It was fun to add the circles to the glitter flowers.

I had a few of the envelope seals left from Xmas which are self adhesive, used three of them to add that sparkle to the centre of the flowers.

The words are from Stampotique called Tall Word Collage, i added them onto some of the glitter paper i had over and then mounted on top of the flower centres.

Added a doodled border and finished in under the 15 minutes.

However a day later i realised that the plaque needed a little more so added a stamped border of dots and used a black large tip Sharpie pen to go around the edges.

I am now happy with the completed plaque.

I hope your visit has shown you just what can be achieved in the 15 minutes, please come and join us and let us see what wonderful creations you can make in the time too.

Remember to add the time it took you to create your project within the body of your post.

It takes time for the Design Team to visit the entries and add comments and even more time when we have to ask for the time to be entered in your post and then revisit to comment again, i hope you can understand why we are asking for your help.

Please visit my other Teamies to see what wonderful inspiration they have also provided.

  16. I have trouble believing this was created in less than 15 minutes, but you are known for your incredibly fast creativity.

How awesome that you are using stencils made by and for you. Wonderful. Of course, when I saw the pan pastels, I got quite interested, because I'd love to learn how to use the few I own. However, I know it would take me a LOT longer than 15 minutes (grin).
